Tatort-Paderborn

a procession along the Pader
Paderborn, 05/10/2025

Closing ceremony of “When the Pader rains, take a bath in the clouds” — a soundscape of field recordings, voice, percussion, and electronic music, honoring the river and welcoming the colder season.

The last day of the exhibition at the Art Museum in Marstall was celebrated with a colorful procession open to everyone. The willow nest sculpture was collectively dismantled and transformed into crafted memory objects and carried back to the river.

The cycle of life comes full circle, and we celebrated with the river as its willows returned. Perhaps the inhabitants of the swamp found temporary shelter in the intertwined branches until they slowly decayed and returned to the earth. In this way, art becomes nature once again—and what we take from the Pader, we give back with gratitude and joy.
